About Me
Hello, I’m Thanh Nguyen. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist in the state of PA. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field and have worked with individuals struggling with mood disorders, traumas, substance abuse and perinatal mental health. I believe in a mindfulness approach and utilize multiple modalities to support my clients throughout their healing journey.
My passion is working with women struggling in their perinatal period (before, during and after). As a mother, I understand and enjoy helping women navigate the stressors that come with all the pressures of being a mom. With connection, support and mindfulness, my hope is for my clients to feel stronger and more confident as they navigate motherhood.
I also specialize in trauma and have a passion in supporting individuals struggling with symptoms of PTSD, depression and/or anxiety as a result of their lived experiences. I have a certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and I’m trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed EMDR. Through the utilization of these techniques and supporting clients around increasing their healthy coping skills, my hope is for my clients to feel free and healed from their traumas.
My Approach
I believe in a client-lead and client-centered approach as every individual has unique needs in therapy. My intention is to create a space where you feel safe to be vulnerable and explore the areas in your life that you struggle most with and want to improve on. My approach blends multiple modalities, including: solution focused, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, EMDR and IFS.
